What you notice
You miss the shape your face used to have
The change might be most obvious in a photo someone else has taken. Or when you catch yourself lifting your cheeks in the mirror.
At a glance
What a non-surgical facelift involves
The treatment plan follows your face. These are the practical differences to bear in mind.
The improvement
A firmer face, with more of your shape back
The aim is to make the changes you notice less obvious: a better-defined jaw, firmer cheek skin or softer folds around your mouth.
What creates that improvement differs from face to face. Where volume has been lost, restoring support can make the cheeks look less flat and the lower face less hollow. Where the skin has loosened, stimulating collagen can help it feel firmer and look smoother.
You may want a small refresh, or a more noticeable change. Dr Alex will explain how far non-surgical treatment is likely to take you, including whether it makes sense to treat in stages. You don't have to agree to every option discussed.

Choosing your treatment
What is making your face look less lifted?
Loose skin, lost volume and the pull of facial muscles need different approaches. Looking at them separately helps Dr Alex recommend something that addresses your concern.
How much lift?
When surgery would make a bigger difference
Non-surgical treatments can improve mild sagging, but they don't remove a substantial amount of excess skin or reposition deeper tissues as a surgical facelift does. Pulling your skin back with your fingers isn't a reliable preview of what an injectable or device can achieve.
If you have heavy jowls or want a much stronger lift, Dr Alex will say so. Spending on several smaller treatments is poor value if they are unlikely to give you the change you're looking for.
How it works
Treating the cause of the change you see
A hollow cheek and a loose cheek can look similar at first glance. The treatment that helps one may do little for the other.
Filler adds support beneath areas that have lost volume. It can improve contour and soften nearby dips or folds, but adding more isn't the answer to every sagging face.
HIFU uses focused ultrasound beneath the skin to stimulate collagen. RF microneedling delivers heat through fine needles, helping improve firmness and texture. Collagen-stimulating injectables, such as Lanluma or Sculptra, encourage your own collagen production over time.
CO2 laser works on wrinkles and the skin's surface as well as stimulating collagen. If a downward muscle pull is contributing, Botox may have a role too. These treatments can be considered together, but each needs a reason to be in your plan.

Start with what you would like to see change
You can arrive knowing only that your face looks a bit saggy. Choosing the treatment is something Dr Alex can help with.

Why Dr Alex
Why choose Dr Alex for a non-surgical facelift?
Dr Alex's experience includes injectable treatments, HIFU, RF microneedling and CO2 laser resurfacing. He teaches doctors, dentists and nurses across several dermal filler ranges and is a trainer for Evolus's Estyme fillers.
That range of treatments gives you several options to discuss at SONÜ. He can assess whether the main problem is lost support, loose skin or texture, then explain why he recommends a particular approach. A face that already has enough volume shouldn't simply keep getting more filler.
He'll also ask what a good result means to you. A sharper jaw, softer folds and smoother skin are different goals, and the best starting point may be different for each.

Safety and recovery
Plan for the treatment you are actually having
Non-surgical treatments have different risks and recovery needs. Dr Alex explains these for your proposed plan before you decide.
Possible side effects
Injections may cause bruising, swelling or tenderness. Fillers and collagen stimulators can also cause lumps, infection or delayed reactions. A rare serious complication is a blocked blood vessel, which can damage skin or affect sight.
Energy treatments can cause redness and tenderness; burns, pigment changes and scarring are possible. Some treatments can also affect fat or nerves. Device choice, treatment depth and your skin type all need assessment. CO2 laser requires skin healing and aftercare while you continue with ordinary activities such as shopping or walking the dog.
When to get urgent help
After treatment, contact SONÜ promptly about increasing pain, blistering, spreading redness, a new weakness or skin that becomes pale, grey or dusky. Unusual pain or colour changes after filler need immediate assessment. Seek urgent medical care if you can't reach the clinic.
Call 999 for any sudden change in vision, difficulty speaking or weakness of an arm or leg, and tell the team what treatment you've had.
When treatment needs to wait
Elective aesthetic treatment is generally postponed during pregnancy or breastfeeding and where there is active infection. Tell Dr Alex about medicines, allergies, medical conditions, implants, earlier filler or surgery and previous treatment reactions. Recent tanning or certain skin conditions can also affect the choice and timing of laser treatment.
You can discuss the options without committing to a course or combination.
Treatment costs
How much does a non-surgical facelift cost?
Your treatment is quoted after assessment. The total depends on whether you need one procedure or a combination, the areas treated and the number of sessions recommended.
