Worried after treatment?
Call SONÜ on 01625 725 737 if symptoms are getting worse, feel unusual or are not settling as you were advised. You do not need to wait for a routine review. If you cannot reach us and need urgent medical advice, contact NHS 111. For an emergency, call 999.

- Any new change in vision after facial injections needs emergency medical help. Call 999 and explain what treatment you have had.
- After filler or hyaluronic acid injections, unusual or increasing pain, pale skin or a dusky, mottled colour needs immediate assessment. Call SONÜ straight away. If you cannot reach us, seek urgent medical care.
A plan that starts with you
Before recommending treatment, Dr Alex will ask what you want to change, look at the area and discuss your health, medicines and previous procedures. Tell him about allergies and any changes in your health, including pregnancy or breastfeeding.
You should understand the likely benefit, the limits, the risks, recovery and cost before deciding. Sometimes the right advice is a smaller treatment, a different approach or no treatment at all. You can take time to think.
Follow the advice for your treatment
Aftercare differs between injections, laser and other skin treatments. Use the instructions you were given for your procedure, rather than a general routine you have found online.
Ask us if you are unsure when to use skincare or make-up, exercise or return to other treatments. If you have lost your instructions, contact the clinic for another copy. Do not stop prescribed medicines without advice from your prescriber.
Give the result the right amount of time
Swelling, redness or bruising can be part of recovery, depending on the treatment. They can also make an early result difficult to judge. Dr Alex will explain what is usual for you and when a review would be useful.
Clear aftercare, sensible reviews and a route back to us if you are worried are part of treatment. Read what to do if you have a complication or a concern.
