Assessment and treatment with Dr Alex, with ultrasound guidance for the groin treatment when needed.
What would you like to change?
Appearance, comfort, or a bit of both
There is no single reason men ask about Scrotox. The part that bothers you helps guide the treatment.
At a glance
Scrotox, without the awkward guesswork
A private appointment to discuss a more relaxed scrotum, bothersome contraction or local sweating.
The change you want
A looser hang and a smoother appearance
The aim is to ease the tightly drawn-up look, allowing the scrotum to sit more comfortably and freely.
The change depends on what is making the area feel tight. Relaxing the scrotal skin can soften its gathered appearance; a strong upward pull on the testicle may need the separate groin treatment.
If sweating is your main concern, Dr Alex will discuss treating that specifically. You won't necessarily need every part of the treatment to address the thing that bothers you.
✓
Scrotox changes relaxation and position; it does not enlarge the penis or testicles.
Is it for you?
Start with the change you have in mind
You may be interested in appearance, physical comfort or both. Dr Alex will assess these with you rather than assuming everyone needs the same injections.
Getting the cause right
Pain deserves a proper assessment
Painful contraction is one reason to seek advice, but testicular pain has several possible causes. Dr Alex will explain if you need a GP or urology assessment before considering Scrotox. It is not a general treatment for unexplained testicular pain.
How it works
Relaxing the area that feels tight
Botox temporarily reduces the nerve signals that trigger muscle contraction. It can also reduce local sweating.
There are two parts to consider. The thin muscle in the scrotal skin contributes to its wrinkled, gathered appearance. A separate muscle, the cremaster, pulls the testicle upwards.
The standard treatment focuses on the scrotal area. If the upward pull also needs treating, Dr Alex may recommend ultrasound-guided injections in the groin. Ultrasound helps him see the area being treated. He will explain which option fits your concern before you decide.
Your appointment
We'll help you feel comfortable from the start
An intimate treatment can feel like a bigger step than having something done to your face. We explain what happens before asking you to get ready.

Why Dr Alex
Personal care for a very personal treatment
Dr Alex assesses and carries out your treatment himself. He looks at whether you want the skin to sit more loosely, the testicles to pull up less, or sweating to be reduced, then explains the option that fits.
For groin injections, he uses ultrasound guidance. For the appointment itself, attention to numbing, covering and explaining each step helps make an unfamiliar treatment feel more manageable.
You can be direct about what you want, including questions about sex or embarrassment. This is a medical appointment; you won't be expected to find a delicate way of describing your balls.

Before you decide
What to know about treatment and recovery
Small bruises, swelling and tenderness can follow injections. Dr Alex will explain the risks of the treatment proposed for you.
Possible side effects
Possible problems include infection, an uneven or unwanted degree of relaxation, and unwanted muscle weakness. Allergic reactions are also possible. Tell Dr Alex about your medicines, previous reactions and any muscle or nerve condition.
The effect on fertility is not well established. These muscles help regulate testicular temperature, so tell Dr Alex if you are trying for a baby or may want children in the future. Do not assume that a temporary cosmetic effect means there is no fertility risk.
When testicular pain needs urgent help
Go to A&E immediately or call 999 for sudden, severe testicular pain; pain with sickness or tummy pain; or pain lasting more than an hour or continuing at rest. Do not wait for a cosmetic consultation.
When to wait or choose another approach
Treatment should wait if the skin is infected, irritated or broken. Unexplained pain, a new lump or a change in the testicle needs medical assessment. Some muscle or nerve conditions, medicines and previous allergic reactions can also make Botox unsuitable. Plans for future children need a specific discussion before treatment.
You can ask questions, pause the appointment or decide not to proceed.
